What is Route4me?
Route4Me is a cloud-based fleet management solution designed for small, midsize and large businesses. Primary features include route planning and routing guides. It allows users to type-in or upload customer addresses and plan a route for them.
Wecarerecycling operates multiple sites where they collect products from bins on a daily basis. Each day, the company needs to create optimized routes for their drivers to efficiently collect products from these sites. Manually sending data to Route4me for route optimization and then separately to Samsara for driver and vehicle tracking proved to be time-consuming tasks. They required a streamlined solution to automate these processes and improve overall efficiency.
To address the client’s challenges, we implemented a seamless integration between Route4me and Zoho CRM. Here’s how our solution simplified their operations:
- Centralized Site Database: We created a comprehensive site database within Zoho CRM, housing information for all their collection sites. This database allowed easy access and management of site details.
- Route Assignment Widget: We developed a user-friendly widget within Zoho CRM that displayed all the available sites. With this widget, they could effortlessly assign routes to each driver by selecting the relevant sites.
- Driver, Vehicle, and Warehouse Assignment: For each assigned route,the client could conveniently allocate the appropriate driver, vehicle, and warehouse using Zoho CRM. This streamlined the process of coordinating resources for each route.
- Automated Route Data Sending: Once the route details were finalized in Zoho CRM, the optimized route data could be sent to Route4me with a single click, eliminating the need for manual data transfer. This automation saved considerable time and effort for Wecarerecycling ‘s team.
- Integration with Samsara: After receiving the optimized route from Route4me, the data could be seamlessly forwarded to Samsara using Zoho CRM. This integration facilitated driver and vehicle tracking, ensuring real-time monitoring of operations without any manual data entry.
- Advanced Route Planning: The client could create routes in advance within Zoho CRM, reducing the need to create new routes every day. This feature enhanced overall efficiency by allowing the company to plan ahead and allocate resources accordingly.
- Samsara Data Collection: Once drivers completed their tasks and submitted data through the Samsara mobile application, we configured Zoho CRM to save this data in a dedicated collection database.
8. Reporting and Analytics: To provide actionable insights, we developed a customized widget within Zoho CRM for the client to view reports based on the collected Samsara data. The widget enabled them to analyze site-specific information and filter data using a date range, allowing for easy identification of trends and performance evaluation.
By integrating Route4me with Zoho CRM, we successfully automated Wecarerecycling ‘s route optimization, driver tracking, and data collection processes. The benefits experienced by the client include:
