What’s New in Zoho CRM: Summer 2019

More than likely, if your company is already using Zoho CRM as your customer management software, you’re aware that just like any business model, the capabilities and utility options are in constant change and update mode. The digital and mobile world has allowed us to conduct our personal and professional lives on the go, which as a result, means that we must be in constant preparation for shifts and pivots.

Software is an element of business operations that is in a constant state of change. New platforms, technology, and even competitors can influence the way in which a company will utilize its CRM software. What’s great about the Zoho CRM team is that they’re in constant watch of market changes and introductions so that the developers can then choose to implement these new space-players so that you and your business can simultaneously stay informed and up-to-date, which directly translates to better relationships with your partners and consumers.

This past summer, Zoho CRM introduced an array of new product enhancements, capabilities, and features so that you can run your business more smoothly and in a way that matches the industry’s changes and movements.

You can now customize your CRM setup page

Depending on your company’s industry, you’ll likely need to use outside applications that are unique to your specific business needs. Instead of toggling between tabs or sessions, you can now easily incorporate all of these activations in your customizable setup page. Additionally, you’ll have the ability to rename and reorder features as they may fit your industry or business’s needs, and you’ll also have the ability to reposition the grouping of these activations and even hide the ones that your company simply does not use. Having this customization ability will surely streamline your business processes and expedite the day-the-day requirements without feeling cluttered.

What’s New in Zoho CRM Summer 2019

Dashboard categorization

To better help with organization and ease of use, Zoho CRM has now made your dashboards capable of categorization. Since our worlds are much more organized by immediate need, this capability will surely enable your teams to more easily and quickly access information and important communication documents by specific categories. “Favorites” of course will allow your team members to organize their dashboard by what they access the most. “Created by me” and “Shared with me” will also help keep track of their communication and additional organization. “Public” and “Other user’s dashboard” will also help differentiate sharing capabilities and ownership.

Zia pathing

There’s no doubt that Zia is a valuable and resourceful tool for anyone on the sales team or those looking for quick and immediate answers. Zia helps those on the go that need reliable information based on any module within Zoho CRM. As amazing as this tool already is, your users can now be even more educated since you can now find out the criteria that Zia applied to arrive at the answer provided. Knowing this pathing will help you better articulate the research and analyzation strategy, which will only enhance your sellers’ relationships with existing and prospective clients.

Duplication alerts

In our world of digital storage, we rely on our resources to hold and maintain our information for us. Oftentimes, we are unsure as to what’s new and what may already exist, but in a state of security, we’ll likely enter it again, “just to be safe.” When this happens, this over-entering of data can often skew our overall metrics and analytic reports. Now, within the Leads module, if duplicate information is recorded, the user will be alerted, prompting the user to ignore the additional record or merge what’s already existing. As people are constantly changing jobs, locations, and even names, it can be nearly impossible to keep up; having this capability will help streamline these changes and avoid over-entry.

Record locking and unlocking

Given that digital access is easy to gain and deny these days, it only makes sense that this capability is introduced for record ownership. With these additional security measures in place, owners will be better notified of changes taking place and will be alerted for approval. From there, the approval process is then put in the hands of the owner to either accept or deny. This additional line of security will help avoid unauthorized adjustments to records.

Sandbox enhancements

Sandbox allows your teams to test any settings you’re establishing within your company so you can identify issues before committing to these customizations. This testing module is now capable of allowing your teams to see any changes deployed after refreshing Sandbox, allowing your teams to be fully aware of what is implementable and should be kept on radars.

Cloning blueprints

One of the most primary functions of Zoho CRM is to streamline processes to avoid repetition, so it only makes since that the capability of cloning a process blueprint is available. Instead of creating new blueprints from scratch, your teams can now duplicate a process blueprint and make the necessary tweaks to more appropriately match that specific effort.

Assignment rules enhancements

There are certain processes performed that are always going to be assigned to a specific individual or team. With this, users can now automatically default an assignment to this person, saving time and consolidating communication. Users can now also discover availability of each user based on their online status and timing before assigning the tasks. This way, visibility allows for all parties to be more equipped on realistic timelines and expectations.

Zoho CRM understands that the world of business is in a constant state of change, and your teams need to do everything they can to keep up and stay relevant, especially in a very competitive marketplace. That’s why the developers at Zoho CRM are constantly making updates and enhancements to the software so that you can deliver the best results to your clients and consumers. Be sure to be on the constant look-out for these updates so you and your teams can utilize all the features within the software to the best of their capabilities.
